The Weapon Shot Counter (WSC) automatically stores round count and firing cadence to indicate the lifecycle status of a specific weapon. The WSC is a passive module or weapon component that will enable weapon maintenance personnel to easily determine the number of rounds fired through a particular weapon. By adding a WSC to weapons, a maintenance system can be modified from a calendar (time) schedule to a usage schedule. Shots fired data will enable a more cost-effective, reliable, preventive and predictive maintenance program which will improve overall weapon maintenance and performance. Following the development of weapon component wear profiles, and with availability of weapons usage data, components can be replaced on the most cost effective/reliability schedule.

Training personnel have concluded that the WSC will enhance recruit training, augment after mission review of the performance of each recruit, squad, platoon, etc.

The WSC has been designed, calibrated and placed on a number of host weapons. The list includes the M16/M4 weapon family, sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols. Adding this revolutionary weapon maintenance system to your individual or crew served weapons can be achieved.
